Countries that apply European rules
A number of countries use European rules and therefore have agreements with the Netherlands about the reimbursement of medical expenses.
European and non-European countries that apply European rules
- Cyprus (Greek part only)
- France (including Guadeloupe, Martinique, Reunion and French Guiana)
- Portugal (including the Azores and Madeira)
- Spain (including the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla)
- Czech Republic
- United Kingdom (including Gibraltar)
The following countries are not part of the EU: Andorra, Monaco, Vatican City, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and San Marino.
